Upgrade from 6.0 to 6.0 1b on Dell R630 with dual SD cards fails with Permission Denied error.

I have a Dell R630 with dual SD cards that came preinstalled with ESXi 6.0.0b (2809209) and want to upgrade it to the latest Dell customized ESXi 6.0 Update 1b (3380124).  I boot from the DVD and get as far as hitting F11 to upgrade when I'm almost immediately presented with this error:

Any ideas?
