VMware tools on Red Hat

Hi all,

I have a red hat virtual machine (RHEL 6x64) here that I am trying to install vmware-tools on. It installs ok but when running the vmware-config-tools.pl scripts it initialises & then aborts with:

This configuration program is to be executed in a virtual machine.

Then :

Execution aborted.

I have tried a few times but no Joy- its a 5.5 U2 ESXi & tools are 9.4.10
