Migrate vCenter server VM to another host

Hi Guys,

Could any of you assist on the below.

We want to upgrade the ESXi host from 5.0(Essential) to 5.5 U2 (Essential plus) , the vCenter server VM resides in the ESXi host 5.0 (Essential)

Before the upgrade process we would like to migrate the vCenter server VM to another host, moreover need to power off and then do the upgrade since vmotion feature is not available in Essential

I guess need a vCenter server to do even a cold migration, so we are not sure how to proceed

Please advise on the above
